Brigadier General (R) David Komar is an executive leader with 35 years of leadership, operations and strategy development experience. Dave is a retired US Army General who has led organizations ranging in size from 40 to 4,800 people. His career enabled him to travel and live all over the US as well as across the world experiencing and working with many cultures.

He led the Army’s capability development enterprise. This $25 billion per year modernization program determined the requirements, prioritization and investment strategy for the Army. Dave was also the Director of Army Business Operations. In that capacity, he was responsible for improving the business processes of the 1.1 million person and $135 billion dollar a year Army enterprise. He led the Army’s business initiatives program, process improvement program and the organizational performance management programs. These programs provided billions of dollars in savings annually across the Army.

Since leaving the Army, Dave has worked in the Middle East with a large international consulting firm as a Senior Executive Advisor. He is also currently working on a book based on his lifelong study and practice of how to develop great organizational culture. Additionally, Dave speaks internationally on culture, strategy and transformation.
