John Davis

John B. Davis is a native Oklahoman who grew up on a farm in Grady County. He was an active member and officer of Future Farmers of America. Mr. Davis received a B.S. in Accounting and a Juris Doctorate from The University of Oklahoma in 1982 and 1984, respectively. John is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, the Oklahoma County Bar Association, United States District Court for Eastern, Northern and Western Districts of Oklahoma, the United States Circuit Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit, and the United States Tax Court.
Mr. Davis is the Managing Member of John B. Davis & Associates, PLLC, a boutique law firm specializing in business entity formation and maintenance, business transactions, taxation, and business and strategic planning. The firm has provided legal services and strategic planning to companies in many industries, including biologics manufacturing, analytical laboratory services, cell and gene therapy manufacturing, innovative technologies, SAAS platforms, general manufacturing, metal fabrication, oilfield services, commercial construction, and specialty retail products. For the past 16 years he has served as outside general counsel to various clients in the biologics and disruptive technologies industries. He also served on the Board of Directors and guided many of his clients through financing and acquisition transactions.
Mr. Davis is dedicated to advancing innovative technologies and is an active investor in Oklahoma innovative technology companies. He is a member of the Oklahoma Venture Forum, SeedStep Angels, and Cowboy Tech Angels Network.
Mr. Davis has two grown daughters who work in the tech industry. When Mr. Davis is not working in the law firm or guiding clients through strategic planning he enjoys the golf course and reading.
Additionally, Mr. Davis is actively involved in faith based charities that focus on protecting the health and welfare of women and children and has conducted trainings in Africa, India, Eastern Europe and Central America.
